LEOMINSTER, Mass. - Repairs continue in Leominster, Fitchburg and Princeton nearly three weeks after heavy flooding destroyed roads and homes in the area. Crews have made quite a bit of progress since the early response, including at the heavily damaged intersection of Colburn Street and Pleasant Street in Leominster. Mayor Dean Mazzarella said the city is facing up to $40 million in damages from the flooding. A relief fund was set up to help those affected, and district highway director Barry Lorion said the MassDOT team is still on the ground assisting.
